What is PlateMaid?

We are a dish washing service that takes away the burden of washing dishes everyday, and gives you more time to do the things you enjoy. We pick-up your dirty dishes, get them cleaned, and return them to you same-day. No need to fill up your sink or counter tops with dirty dishes. Simply toss them into a liner and that’s it- think of it as “recycling” your dishes; we take care of the rest. With our service, there are no more arguments over who will do the dishes, who didn’t clean the dishes well enough, or who used too many cups. Instead of an overflowing sink and empty cabinets, we help keep your cabinets full and your sink empty!

How Does It Work?

It’s super simple! You create the dirty dishes, put them to the door, and we pick them up and get them cleaned, packed and returned!

STEP ONE

Eat, drink, meal-prep and create some dirty dishes. However, instead of tossing them into the sink, follow step 2 instead.

STEP TWO

Toss your dirty dishes into a liner of your choice. We will provide you with a cabinet- hanging mount at sign-up. Once your liner is full, it can be removed and emptied into the pick-up bin (for personal cloth liners), or placed directly into the tote (for disposable liners). Sign-up will also include one box of biodegradable, disposable liners.

STEP THREE

At sign-up, we will provide you with a pick-up bin which will be used for every pick-up/delivery. Whenever you are ready, schedule a pick-up and place your pick-up bin at the front door. We will come and pick-up your dirty dishes the morning of your scheduled pick-up date and have them returned same-day in the evening.

FAQ

How much does PlateMaid cost?

There is a one-time $45 sign-up fee. Subscribe for $15/month, and each scheduled pick-up is charged at $6/ per pick-up (plus tax). We will provide you with a bag-hanging mount for your cabinet, a pick-up/return tote, a complimentary box of biodegradable liners, and a complimentary set of eco-friendly wheat-straw dishes. Is there a contract?

No. There is no contract. Service can be canceled at any time.

Where will I put my dirty dishes?

Dirty dishes will go into a liner of your choice, or directly into the pick-up bin.

Can I put food and trash inside of the pick-up bin?

We require that food scraps and liquids be emptied out of the plates, cups and bowls before placing them into the pick-up bin. Any unacceptable items are subject to a contamination fee of $50.00 per occurrence. If you have any questions regarding the contamination fee, please contact us.

Will the dishes be provided?

No. We will provide a complimentary set of dishware at sign-up. More dishes may be ordered if needed. See our pricing page for more information on purchasing more dishes.

How often will I be serviced?

We will come for pick-up the morning of your scheduled pick-up date. We provide pick-ups Monday-Friday.

Where do I place my pick-up bin for service?

Simply place your pick-up bin right outside of your front door, and the driver will be there on the morning of your scheduled pick-up date. The dishes and bin will be cleaned and returned same-day in the afternoon/evening.

What is your service area?
